Kudos and Announcements

October 24: Clinical Psy.D. Chair Michele Nealon-Woods has been appointed dean of The Chicago School's future campus at Los Angeles.

October 23: Dr. Traci Cihon, Applied Behavior Analysis faculty, appeared on the World Talk Radio program KidsDadsMoms. The segment was titled "An Update on Autism Today."

October 22: Tim Finklea joined the Admission team as a counselor. The Office of Admission also welcomes Laura Chavez, operations assistant.

October 17: Dr. Jennifer Thompson announced that she is stepping down from department chair of both the I/O and Business Psychology programs. Associate Chair Iliana Kwaske will fill this role as a national search is conducted.

October 16: Megan Jamieson joined The Chicago School community as a student services advisor.

October 14: Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs Pat Breen has been named vice president of academic affairs. Dr. Breen joined the school in 2006 as its vice president of executive and professional education (EPE). With this appointment, EPE will join the Academic Affairs Division.

The Chicago School is pleased to announce the 2007 Commencement to be held on Friday, June 13.

October 9: Katherine Hutek joins The Chicago School as a human resources assistant.

October 2: Dr. Mark Rogers spoke with Dean Richards on WGN Radio 720's Steve Cochran Show regarding child custody and its psychological impact of the children involved in particular to the case of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline.

Dr. Breeda McGrath, School Psychology Department faculty, appeared on the World Talk Radio program KidsDadsMoms. The topic was "Parents, Psychologists, and Attorneys that Advocate for Kids."

Dr. Mark Goldstein, adjunct professor of clinical psychology, was quoted in a Wall Street Journal story about children coping with allergy anxieties.

October 1: The Office of Student Services welcomed Pete Zaragoza as its director.

September 22: Dr. Mark Kassel, faculty and ExCEL track director, appeared on "Behavioral Health Update" to discuss the changing field of forensic psychology, future practitioner roles in forensics, the impact of the chronically mentally ill in the corrections system, and other topics.

September 19: Dr. Deane Rabe, AVP of engagement and student affairs, appeared on WMAQ (NBC 5). The topic was the "psychology of Cubs fans."

Chicago School Trustee Paul Dillon, president and CEO of Dillon Consulting Services, LLC, wrote an article for the website ConsultingCrossing.com. The topic was networking in nonprofits.

September 15: Dr. Todd Dubose, assistant professor of clinical psychology, was quoted in an Associated Press story titled "Father Turns Grief Over Son's Death in Iraq to Advocacy for War."

September 10: Career Services and Community Partnerships hosted a Job and Volunteer Fair, welcoming 40 community and professional partners, 14 alumni, and 249 students.

The Office of Admission welcomed Pat Love as an operations assistant.

Tamba-Kuii Bailey has joined the Clinical Services team as a post-doctoral fellow.

Benjamin Rottschafer has been promoted to assistant director of Admission. Ben is also a 2006 graduate of The Chicago School.
