Midwest Meets West Coast, The Chicago School to Open New Campus in Los Angeles

CHICAGO – After nearly 30 years of addressing the need for more professional psychologists in the Midwest, The Chicago School of Professional Psychology is taking its unique approach to psychology training to new frontiers. Starting in fall 2008, Los Angeles, Calif., will become home to the school's first out-of-state campus. (more)

February 25: Admission Operations Assistant Laura Chavez has been promoted to admission counselor. Meanwhile, Candace Wright-Boswell has joined the Admission team as admission operations assistant.

February 19: Dr. Evan Harrington, Forensic Psychology faculty, was quoted in a St. Louis Post-Dispatch story about the use of technology to track sex offenders.

February 18: Clinical Psychology Department Chair Michele Nealon-Woods, Psy.D. '00, has begun her duties as dean of the Los Angeles campus. Additionally, Director of Admission Heather La Belle is assuming a new role as director of enrollment services for the Los Angeles Campus. Yareli Meza, associate director, has been promoted to director of admission and will remain at the Chicago campus.

Also in Admission, Anna Hickner joined the team as operations assistant.

Brian Bal Vasquez joined the Office of Institutional Research as research analyst. Brian's position was recently vacated by Alison Gillings who was recently promoted to senior research analyst.

February 17: Forensic Psychology Chair Dr. Michael Fogel was quoted in an article published by the Times Herald-Record (NY) in a story about child sex offenders.

Dr. Michael Barr, director of corporate education and consulting services, was quoted in a story about consumer psychology on DemoDirt.com.

February 10: The Chicago School welcomes Beth Tinkham as international student advisor.

Beth VanDyke joined The Chicago School as its new assistant director of alumni relations. Her predecessor in the position, David Duke, transferred to Online and Blended Programs to serve as the department's first graduate student advisor.

February 4: The Chicago School welcomes Sarah Eva Krancic as its first director of online marketing and web communication.
